Hiring a radon professional in Canada

Health Canada recommends a C-NRPP mitigation professional for reducing radon in your home. Its Canadian guideline is 200 Bq/m³. Read Health Canada’s radon reduction guidance.

1. Choose testing (measurement) or mitigation for the work you need.
2. Ask who will perform the work and obtain that person’s certification number.
3. Enter the number in the C-NRPP certification check and match the name, credential type and expiry before hiring.

Canadian sources and verification

We check the official C-NRPP public finder using province searches for residential measurement and mitigation. CRT identifies measurement; CRMT identifies mitigation. We include only active credentials with a current expiry, the matching service, and a city and province on the person’s own record. C-NRPP certification is not a provincial licence.

City pages describe addresses on credential records, not service areas. Maps use approximate city reference points from Natural Resources Canada. We do not publish street addresses or turn postal-code radius results into city pages. Our ZIP search serves US locations; for Canadian postal codes use the official finder.

We refresh Canadian records monthly. The verification date means we checked the source on that date; status may change before the next refresh. If the official record differs, rely on it. Records past their expiry or more than 31 days since verification are excluded when the site is rebuilt.
